The Story of Kinver Schools

Kinver Community Library

As part of Staffordshire History Festival - an exhibition telling the story of Kinver schools - from the opening of the First National School in 1851. The library building was originally a school and many people in Kinver today still recall attending the Junior School there, which closed in the 1960s. The display will encompass photos, characters, anecdotes and memories. It will provide a real insight into the history of education in our village, so do call in (it's free entry) and learn more. We also have a Coffee Morning on 28 September from 10 am to noon, when former pupils are invited to come along and share their memories of when our library was a school. Of course, anyone else with an interest in Kinver history is also very welcome.
