Kinver Historical Society’s new season will start on Wednesday 3 September. The 2025-2026 season will see our 70th anniversary and we will be celebrating it at our Christmas meeting on 3 December. Details to follow.
In the meantime, we will kick-off our new season with a talk by lan Dixson entitled “One Night in March 1944”.
On 1 October Karen Evans will entertain us with “Where does my family come from? Unlocking the secrets of DNA testing”.
This will be followed on 5 November with the return of Val Campbell and a talk on “Dr James Barry”, one of the world’s first female surgeons – although she had to take on the identity of a man to achieve it.
Our meetings are held at the Senior Citizens Club, Legion Drive and start at 7.45 pm. Visitors are welcome; a fee of £3 can be paid on the door.
